CBC Olympics: "One vaulter famously arrived at his destination to discover an airport worker had sawed his poles in half to fit them in the hold."


"The vaulters can no longer “Volz” the bar, a technique made popular under previous rules by the U.S. vaulter Dave Volz who would clear the bar then touch it with his hands to make sure it stayed on."
