Just another Saturday morning

Today I had to get my car inspected and had to run the gauntlet from the East side of Manhattan to the West side. There was a parade on 5th Avenue, so I had to go down park to get to the 50s.

Allegorically (how often do you get to use that word), today's commute literally paralleled the movie shoot going on outside of my office: "I am Legend" We had to wait 20 minutes to cross 7th avenue since they were shooting a car scene on the street. It got pretty ugly as the PAs tried to keep people from getting to work and forgetting to tell them that they can use the subway entrances to cross under the street.
